Texas Fury Financial Assistance

Overview

Texas Fury Mission: To train the whole athlete; physically, mentally and spiritually.  We are dedicated to high level competition & training, creating strong team dynamics through team building & mental training and encouraging spiritual development & community involvement while maintaining a family environment.

Our Financial Assistance Funds  were created to provide players the opportunity to participate in club volleyball regardless of their ability to pay.  There are two assistance funds available to all qualifying players:

Legacy Fund

The Legacy Fund is a need based scholarship the will be distributed by January 15th of each season and will range from 5% to 15% of players total fees due for their current club season.

Qualifying Information:
* You must be playing the current season with Texas Fury to be considered eligible for scholarship
* Fury Legacy Fund offers financial assistance through a needs based priority system
* Player’s account must be in good standings with Fury and any previous club to be eligible for a scholarship
* Any scholarship will be applied to the last fees on the player’s account and work forward
 
Scholarship Requirements:
* Submit completed Application by (October 15th)
* Two character reference letters for your athlete (for example: school coach, teacher, church leader, etc.)
* Short Player Essay explaining “What volleyball Means to Me”
* Proof of Income & Need (Please attach both of the following documents for review)
1) Paycheck stub from last 2 consecutive months
2) Household tax return document from the 2022 fiscal year

MP Fund

The MP Fund was created to assist players that have a parent that works for a company currently participating in a matching program for 501(c)3 organizations.  Parents may follow the below guildelines to seek a company match to their club season fees.
 
General Eligibility Information:
Players are eligible if
* They are playing the current season with Texas Fury
* They have a parent that works for a company participating in a matching program for 501(c)3 organizations.
* The parent working for the company that offers a matching program makes contributions to “Fury Legacy Fund” through the matching program based on the schedule provided.
* Player’s account must be in good standings with Fury and any previous club to be eligible for a scholarship
* Their initial deposit has been paid in full
* They have completed and turned in the MP Fund Application no later than September 1st, 2023
 
Contribution Schedule:
Initial contributions must be between August 1st, 2023 and October 1st, 2023
Secondary contributions must be between October 2nd, 2023 and January 1st, 2024
Contributions made after January 15th, 2024 will NOT be eligible for grant consideration and will be treated as a donation to the Fury Legacy Scholarship Fund.
 
*Fury MP Fund Grants will be awarded by December 15th for initial and March 15th for secondary distributions*
