As an athlete, Adam developed through playing multiple sports, shaping him into a well-rounded athlete. He spent over a decade training as a beach volleyball athlete and competed in some of the biggest tournaments in the United States. In 2014, he forwent an opportunity to play collegiate indoor volleyball at Carroll University to pursue qualifying for the AVP pro beach tour. He loves the hard work and dedication it takes to excel at volleyball on the beach and the court.

Adam’s coaching philosophy is to L.E.A.D. athletes in person-centered development through Love. Effort. Attitude. and Discipline. Love is an action - it is often the action of sacrifice and caring for others. Being a part of a volleyball team is a great way to practice sacrifice for others. Effort is practiced through an athlete’s grit and tenacity training and competition. Effort is how athletes make their love for the sport and teammates visible to others. Attitude is a choice. Choosing a positive attitude will directly impact an athlete's effort. Discipline is about accountability. As a coach, discipline is a responsibility to teach athletes the behaviors or systems that will help them be successful.
“You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems.”
